What makes this piece special

An o-yoroi brought to life by red lacing.

This reproduction of Minamoto no Yoshitsune's o-yoroi pairs black hon-kozane scales with vivid red lacing. Red extends from the large shoulder guards to the skirt plates, giving the whole suit a striking presence. The shadows between the rows of scales provide detail to enjoy time and again.

Tall kuwagata ornaments and an elegant helmet.

Slender brass kuwagata ornaments rise above the helmet, adding a graceful vertical line to the red-laced armor. From the raised rivets on the helmet bowl to the turned-back sides, finer details emerge as you look closer.

Decorative chest leather that rewards a closer look.

The leather covering across the chest is made with genuine deerskin from Japan. Patterns against a light background add a different texture alongside the rows of red lacing. Moving from the full silhouette to these details reveals the richness of the decoration.
