What makes this piece special

Intricate layers of scales and lacing.

Small individual hon-kozane scales are joined with colorful tsumadori lacing. The orderly rows on the shoulder guards and skirt plates draw the eye to the colors along their edges. This suit rewards close inspection as much as it impresses from a distance.

Fudo Myoo motifs on decorative leather.

Decorative leather bearing Fudo Myoo motifs adorns the chest covering and the turned-back sides of the helmet. Made with genuine deerskin from Japan, these details add intricate decoration to the front of the armor. Look closely to appreciate both the designs and the texture of the leather.

Broad shoulder guards with the grandeur of o-yoroi.

Large shoulder guards extend to either side, while skirt plates surround the waist. This reproduction of Ashikaga Takauji's hon-kozane o-yoroi has a broad, commanding silhouette. Take time to appreciate its imposing front view and the depth of the shoulder guards seen from an angle.
