What makes this piece special

A paulownia crest on a tapered helmet.

A genuine gold-leaf paulownia crest adorns the shiinari helmet, which narrows toward its crown. Brown tones and trim following the raised ribs emphasize its sculptural form. The crest seen from the front and the silhouette viewed at an angle each have their own appeal.

Rich red lacing, appreciated up close.

Red lacing runs across the cuirass and shoulder guards against scales with a subdued, aged-style black finish. The warm cords stand out against the dark surface. Follow the colors from chest to shoulders and waist, then look closer at the fine weave of the lacing.

Refined details in leather-covered arm guards.

The armored sleeves feature three splints covered in black leather. Their defined contours and the colored cords add detail to the restrained leather surfaces, inviting you to explore the hands and arms as well as the helmet and cuirass.
