What makes this piece special

Sweeping buffalo horns that command attention.

Large buffalo-shaped side ornaments rise in sweeping curves beside a sun-disc crest. Genuine gold leaf gives them a luminous outline against the subdued helmet. This Fukushima Masanori suit has a silhouette that remains striking even from a distance.

Leather and diamond-pattern lacing across the cuirass.

The cuirass features a leather-covered surface with diamond-pattern lacing. Its gentle curves reveal the texture of the leather and the individual stitches. The restrained finish of the cuirass is a detail to appreciate beneath the ornate helmet.

Muted green lacing against a deep, earthy finish.

Yomogi-green lacing adds a gentle touch of color to the subdued iron-rust-style finish. The coordinated palette continues from the helmet's neck guard to the shoulder guards and skirt plates, enhancing the powerful silhouette of the full suit.
