What makes this piece special

Towering gold above vivid vermilion.

Tall side ornaments finished with genuine gold leaf rise from the vermilion helmet. Their elongated outlines and golden brilliance define the image of Ii Naomasa. The full height of these distinctive ornaments is part of their appeal.

Navy lacing defining vermilion surfaces.

Navy cords complement the vermilion-painted cuirass and shoulder guards. These restrained lines across the vivid surfaces accentuate the rows of scales and their fastening details. Color and construction can be appreciated together.

Vermilion from hands to feet.

Vermilion continues across the armored sleeves, shin guards, and thigh guards. Rounded elements, vertical splints, and fine chain links share the same color, giving the entire suit a unified appearance.
